You
must read and agree to the terms and conditions below before
scheduling an appointment, or asking to be placed on a waiting
list.
I
tutor in the Coral Gables/University of Miami area.
Since most of the students I work with attend UM, I do not tutor
when classes at UM are cancelled e.g., due to holidays or hurricanes.
Most students meet me at the same time each week, but others
see me as needed.
My
hourly rate per student ranges from $25 to $70.
I charge $70/hr for individual tutoring and a minimum of $25/hr/student
for a study group.
A study group consists of two or more students who may share
the cost of tutoring. The hourly cost per student for a 2, 3,
or 4 person group is $40, $30, and $25 respectively.
When
2 or more students are tutored together, the person who scheduled
the appointment is solely responsible for payment.
Payment
is due (cash only) at the conclusion of each appointment. Please
contact me first if you are interested in prepaying for tutoring
using PayPal.
Cancellations
may only be made by email, voicemail, phone call, or in person;
I
do not accept cancellations by text messaging
or by other forms of communication.
I
have a 24 hour cancellation policy;
as
long as you give me a minimum of 24 hours notice (from
the starting time of your appointment), I do not charge for the
time, otherwise I do! I would appreciate more than 24
hours notice if possible. 24 hours means 24 hours, not anytime
of the day before the appointment. If you do not provide
sufficient
notice, and wish to reschedule for a future date, you will then
be responsible for paying for both appointments. Even
if you drop the class, you remain responsible for providing adequate
notice.
Only
the person who scheduled the appointment may cancel it.
In
the event of repeated cancellations, or if you do not show up
for appointments, even though you pay me for the times you have
missed, I reserve the right to cancel or refuse any future appointments.
If
you wish to cancel all regular weekly appointments you
must clearly state that you wish to cancel ALL your
regular weekly appointments for the rest of the semester.
If you do not, I will only cancel your next appointment,
and you will still be responsible for paying for future appointments.
If
I am late you must wait no less then 10 minutes from the starting
time of our appointment. I will
wait for you no less than 15 minutes. If
you wish me to wait longer, leave a message at the number below
no later than 15 minutes after the starting time of your appointment.
If you do not wait 10 minutes, or if you show up after 15 minutes
without leaving a message as described above, you will be held
responsible for full payment for the tutoring hour(s) which you
have scheduled.
